Biography
Johannes Kehrer is a research scientist in visual analytics and explainable artificial intelligence at Siemens Corporate Technology, Munich, and an external lecturer at the Technical University of Munich. He received the BSc degree in Media Technology and Design from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Hagenberg Campus, in 2005 and the MSc degree in Visual Computing from the Vienna University of Technology in 2007, respectively. He then worked as a research fellow at the Department of Informatics, University of Bergen, Norway, and received the PhD degree from there in 2011. He spent the year 2012 at the VRVis Research Center in Vienna and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms, Vienna University of Technology. From 2014 to 2017, he was a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the Computer Graphics and Visualization Group at the Technische Universität München, Germany. His research interests include the interactive visual analysis of spatiotemporal, multi-variate, multi-modal, and multi-run/ensemble data.
He has co-authored several articles in prestigious journals such as Computer Graphics Forum and IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics. He has cooperated with researchers from diverse areas such as climate research or statistics. Refer to his Curriculum Vitae for further details.
