Alexander Gall
Short Bio
Hi my name is Alexander!
I am a Research Associate at the Professorship for Cognitive Sensor Systems at the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics at University of Passau, Germany. I worked several years at the Computed Tomography Research Group at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Wels Campus. I am the holder of the TÜV AUSTRIA Science Prize 2023 for my master's thesis. I was also nominated for the OCG Funding Award 2022.
My research focus is on the interface between Visual Analytics and Immersive Analytics. In my work, I am involved in the research, development, and evaluation of interactive data visualization in immersive environments such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). My research also revolves around cross-reality (CR) or cross-virtuality analytics (XVA), as well as location-independent remote analytics for abstract and spatial data.
I am passionate about all things related to scientific and information visualization! I love seeing how these techniques can be used in both real and virtual environments. Check out my latest News about my research!
The focus of my PhD research includes immersive visualisation of multidimensional industrial X-ray computed tomography (XCT) data from non-destructive testing (NDT).
