With the symposium GCD_24 we celebrate 10 years of successful work at the Center for Geometry and Computational Design at TU Wien. Founded in 2014 by Helmut Pottmann – the Center has attracted leading researchers in the fields of geometry, computer graphics, computational design as well as civil and architectural engineering to share their knowledge at the annual GCD symposium. In 2018 Michael Wimmer became the director of the Center for Geometry and Computational Design, where he launched with collaborators from the Center as well as from Innsbruck University and TU Graz the SFB project acd – Advanced Computational Design – which already came up with outstanding results and therefore has been prolonged for another 4 years.
