Abstract
Accurately depicting seasonal snow cover is essential for winter tour planning and interactive 3D map applications. However, existing snow simulation methods are typically limited to small regions, lack meteorological integration, or do not scale to multi-resolution tiled terrains. This master's thesis aims for a dynamic, multiscale snow simulation pipeline that integrates coarse-grained meteorological forecasts with high-resolution topographic features and a GPU-based solar exposure model.
