Abstract

In this talk, I will give an overview of the thesis and briefly introduce the department back at my alma mater, the DCGI at FEE CTU in Prague.

We are developing a novel benchmarking dataset for ray tracing algorithms. The idea is to inject our tool into a modern ray-traced game and extract its geometry. This dataset aims to provide researchers with production-ready assets and scenes that better reflect current industry workloads than traditional models. In addition to geometry, we are exploring methods to extract rays and their corresponding hits, enabling benchmarking independent of external factors such as camera position or resolution. We will attempt CPU-side shader emulation to extract the rays.
